Preservation Hall Jazz Band spread holiday cheer with a Tiny Desk Concert

Posted on December 20, 2014December 19, 2014 by Julie Miller

Last winter New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band stopped by the NPR Music offices to film a Tiny Desk Concert, holiday style. A tuba-playing Santa and his crew of brass musicians cover songs like Bill Evans’ “Sugar Plum” and the jazzed-up “Happy Holiday,” ho ho ho-ing and joking that they are from the South Pole.  Watch the Tiny Desk Concert below.  Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be at Lancaster, PA’s American Music Theater on Sunday, February 15th with Buckwheat Zydeco. Tickets can be found here.
