This past week on location in Lafayette, Louisiana, David Dye – the host of the nationally syndicated World Cafe – made a stop at The Advertiser for an interview with the paper’s Herman Fuselier. Fuselier and Dye did an interview for an upcoming special week of programming, “Sense of Place Louisiana.” In addition to working at the newspaper, Fuselier hosts Zydeco Stomp on KRVS, and is contributing to Zydeco Crossroads as a writer and host of the monthly radio show.
“One of the reasons why we are doing this ‘Zydeco Crossroads’ project is because we’ve always loved this music and we’ve always thought we are going to do our part to spread it nationally” Dye said. “We’re here to spark the revival,” said Dye in the article. “I’m just excited to be able to spread hometown culture to people in Philadelphia and all over the country,” Fuselier said. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” Read the article in the Advertiser here.
