Lafayette’s GIVERS return to Philadelphia on 11/20

Posted on September 1, 2015 by Julie Miller

Lafayette, LA indie pop group GIVERS will return to Philadelphia on November 20th for a show at Boot & Saddle, their first Philly date since the summer of 2012.

Though not a Creole or Cajun band, GIVERS represent the broader spectrum of Louisiana’s music scene and are outspoken supporters of the city. They’re part of the new crop of local musicians that are finding their own creative path, whether it be colorful and eclectic pop like this band (and fellow indie pop band Royal Teeth) or basement-born alt-rock like New Orleans-based tour mates Caddywhompus.

GIVERS will be touring in support of their as-yet untitled sophomore LP, which follows 2011’s breakthrough debut In Light. Check out some videos below, read an interview with frontman Taylor Guarisco here and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.
