Curley Taylor talks creative motivation, evolution of zydeco and more in new interview

Posted on April 13, 2015April 13, 2015 by Julie Miller

In this backstage interview with Curley Taylor, the Zydeco Trouble band leader gives us a glimpse into his own zydeco experience. Taylor discusses the rapid growth of zydeco in Southwest Louisiana and across the country, his creative motivation and the ability of the music to draw in many different types of fans.

The interview was filmed while Taylor was in town last December for the first Zydeco Crossroads dance party. You can watch a video of the band performing “All Night Long” from the concert here, and listen back to the full audio archive here.
