Michael Tisserand on zydeco’s history and culture

In a video interview filmed last October for Zydeco Crossroads, author Michael Tisserand emphasizes the relationship between Creole and Cajun music and the deep history the two cultures share.  He also gives an overview of what makes the music of Louisiana different from the rest of the country, citing Nathan Williams’ affinity for referencing folk tales he heard as a child in the songs he writes now.
