Sample the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with Rosie Ledet, Buckwheat Zydeco and more

Posted on November 8, 2014November 7, 2014 by Julie Miller

New Orleans’ annual Jazz & Heritage Festival always boasts one of the most eclectic line-ups in the festival world.  This year’s installment alone ran the genre gamut from mainstream pop artists (Christina Aguilera, Robin Thicke) to alternative royalty (Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend) and a healthy dose of blues and bluegrass (Joe Louis Walker, Greensky Bluegrass).

But where Jazz Fest really stands out is in its extensive and strong selection of homegrown acts.  2014 alone featured 50 Louisiana / New Orleans-based bands and musicians, including several zydeco and creole representatives.  Sample what the southern festival has to offer in the video playlist below and stay-tuned for what the 2015 festival has in store.
